You're gonna have to add close to a million to Tkachuk, I bet he gets the Monahan contract, also I know this is such a minor part of this whole post but that is a big return for Stone, I think you're looking close to a 5th with conditions to possibly increase.

Bob is just so ideal, though it's a ton of money to invest in a long term guy who could run into a lot of problems as he ages he could be the next Lou and play well almost till he is 40 or he could be Price who people are worried about already at the at cap hit. I would love to wait for a guy like Parsons but who knows what he will be and we don't have all the time in the world to wait.

Thanks for the feedback ! I dont think tkachuk gets more than 6 because he isnt worth more than Gaudreau or Monahan and i think those are arguments the GM will use and he also gets a max contract with 8 years. I am not too familiar with Stone but i dont think trading him is a big issue. If you want to bring Bob i think it comes with a price and he is arguably the best goalie in the league. Securing him at a yes (8.75M) is a lot but he has proven that he is elite and i wouldnt be surprised if he gets that kind of money from another team in need of a goalie. Also, this makes calgary a legitimate cup contender with the same core for 3years.

The only scary thing with Bob is playoff performance, hopefully he can pull it off. Maybe he will enjoy stepping in as the new Kipper and live up to every expectation. I think any team that isn't sold on their goaltending needs to go after Bob, he is no doubt the best regular season goalie in the league. You can make some arguments on other goalies, but the dude is dynamite.

Monahan undersold himself and Gaudreau's contract is insanely team friendly. Once they signed Neal to $5.75M it opened Tkachuk for a payday.

If the number for Bob is 6 x $8.75 Columbus will sign him to that today. Problem is he wants to be the highest paid goalie in the NHL.
