Care to explain why you think that? Having Braun as a third pairing dman on the right side behind karlsson and burns seems like a waste of a resource. Why would the Canes decline, they have a lot of depth on the defensive side and have no good right handed shot wingers.

My guess is he would go with tavares & marner and hyman would be bumped down with kadri if this happened but thsoe lines have been on fire so didnt want to change them up.

How they are using him is irrelevant. 2 years of Braun worth more than 1 of Gardiner. Not a horrible idea. Just don’t see an incentive.

Pesce for Nylander has been done to death on here. Here’s the thing. Pesce’s contract makes him way to valuable for them to move him. 6 years 4m per for a 23 year old d man who is a borderline 1st pairing guy and still improving is a steal. On a budget conscious team....it’s even more valuable. They will move Faulk. Not Pesce. Simply because of contract. Nylander may be more talented than Pesce. Pesce is more valuable due to contract.

Faulk and Gauthier would be a starting point. If they wanted him bad enough maybe you could pry Hamilton from them. Pesce and Slavin are off limits.

Both the Canes and Sharks' deals look good to me. Regardless of what may or may not be reported, I can't see the Leafs having interest in additional scoring help. Scoring is not their issue.
