The Need for SpeedRebuild

Created by: MNBassman
Team: 2018-19 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 15, 2018
Published: Oct. 15, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The Wild need to get faster, period! These trades can happen now, or at the deadline, or this summer...but something has to be done.
Sidenote: I am less concerned about current production with my line combos and more looking at assembling pieces for a healthy future.
Trades
1.
MIN
  1. Anderson, Josh
  2. Jenner, Boone
  3. Savard, David
Additional Details:
Opinions welcomed! On paper, this trade looks a bit lopsided in favor of the Jackets, but the dynamic change for the Wild evens it out, IMO...especially if Staal is only a rental player. If the Jackets re-sign him, maybe there needs to be a conditional draft pick involved... What says you?
CBJ
  1. Coyle, Charlie
  2. Spurgeon, Jared
  3. Staal, Eric
Additional Details:
Anderson and Jenner are exactly the type of forwards the Wild need: Big, fast and physical. Savard adds meat and potatoes to the blue line in exchange for Spurgeons more dynamic game. I've always thought Spurgeon was more cut out to play in the East.
2.
MIN
  1. Nurse, Darnell
  2. Puljujärvi, Jesse
Additional Details:
Zucker would be the perfect fit for playing along-side McDavid. Zucker can take off and open up the middle of the ice for McDavid to work his magic. Those two on the same line would creat match up nightmares for defensemen everywhere!
EDM
  1. Brodin, Jonas
  2. Zucker, Jason
Additional Details:
I know, I know! Trading away the fastest guy on the team (Zucker) goes against what I am trying to accomplish here...but, IMO (and it's not a popular opinion) Zucker's speed is the least effective speed on the planet. Take away his awesome game last week against an old, slow Blackhawks team...Zucker accomplishes almost nothing with his speed. This is especially true because the Wild have no one else that can play at his speed. Again, this is a very unpopular opinion and one most don't agree with...but that's how I see his game. Nurse and Puljugarvi add elements the Wild desperately need.

I'll be entirely honest, as a CBJ fan if you're going for speed, Savard is definitely not your guy and Jenner is just average at best. Anderson definitely has wheels though.

EDM doesn't have the cap space to make that trade (Sekera should come off LTIR at some point), Lucic would almost have to come to MN as part of the trade.

It would have to be an all in year for CBJ for them to even consider this. Panarin and Staal could walk after the season, and Coyle and Spurgeon could walk (or be trade bait) the next year.

you just complained about my trade of nino at 50%and brodin for kassain russel and puj. zucker and brodin for nurse and puj makes less sence as zucker is steps ahead of nino right now. have to think is zucker just signing his new deal he doesnt get traded for 2 reasons of contract and speed.

Wow we got even worse, I wish there was a way you could uninstall the internet so you had no way to get on here and make these atrocities.
