Uh, efffff that right in the arse.

Kessel is a dynamic scorer, but would be straight into Deboer's doghouse for not taking a hit to make a play in the offensive zone and lack of Backchecking effort.

Kessel is also beginning his decline. Sounds silly, but most forwards by age 28 have already seen their best offensive season and the descent begins.

I am absolutely not on board trading the 2015 9th overall or giving up two our our best young players.

I'd rather fill a goalie need through UFA or trade with another team. Goalies are on the cheap this offseason because of the huge amount of teams shopping goalies and UFA market

One exception to the forward declining by age 28 would have to be Patrick Sharp. His career actually took off at that age. While this past regular season was forgettable, Sharpie certainly could complete his current contract and be a productive asset. More than most likely with a new team, tho.
