And that's why you aren't the coach. McDavid and Strome are a horrible fit. Strome can't keep up with McDavid at all, and he's not much of a finisher. He's decent at carrying and dishing out the puck, so he's best suited to drive a 3rd line with some wingers who can score. I love Khaira, but he's a bottom 6 energy player, he lacks the skill to play in the top 6, but I guess we really don't have many options on the left wing.. And Bouchard would get killed playing top 4 minutes. He's not fast enough, experienced enough, or defensively sound enough to be playing against anything but the other teams 3rd or 4th line. He will get burned a lot if he's playing in the top 4. Just my opinion though

To play on the second line a player needs to be able to score on the regular. The last time Khaira scored on the regular was in 2011-12. He played in the BCHL that year.

Also, Ty Rattie is out with an injury right now. This limits his effectiveness on the fourth line.
