Description

This is as if this trade happens right now. Jack Johnson gets moved at the deadline when he has proven even more that he is incapable of helping this team in exchange for whatever anyone is willing to offer. That would then allow the Pens to stay under cap when Schultz is able to come off LTIR. Honestly not sure about the pick values in the trade but feel like a Myers for Brassard swap is beneficial to both teams and do not tie either up long term.

Yea I dunno if we have a problem though? Your solution is to swap Brassard and Johnson out of this lineup for Tyler Myers and that in no way makes us better - We're in position to be top 2 in the division after this road trip and just beat Toronto on the road.. Just don't understand what this huge "problem" is 6 games into the season

how does this "fix" anything. This makes the center position significantly worse, as well as giving up picks, and having to give away an additional defenseman just in order to activate Schultz.

I dunno. Maybe I’m overvaluing Sheahan. My logic was PGH needs RHD and WPG needs a 2C. I think losing Johnson is a net positive for PGH. IMO their willingness to play DB on the wing shows they think Sheahan can be the 3C.
