Lose Labanc to get Nyquist, a rental and far from being a clutch player? Wow, that's a terrible idea.

This is why the trade would be done near the deadline. The time from now till the deadline is labanc a chance to prove himself and If he’s not producing then why would you not trade him for a first liner?

The answer is...NO. Nyquist is not a first liner in a team like Sharks or any other contender. He's a middle 6 winger. I'm not saying that he's not a good player, cause he's. I'm saying that he isn't that good to worth lose Labanc. As a GM, if I were trade Labanc, it'd be to get a clutch player. A top one. And Nyquist is definitely not that player.
