Sure, with little to sure fot it. Simmonds is UFA and walks. So it quickly becomes 3 core pieces for Konecky and a 3rd liner. Better off adding picks or prospects.

Could try re-signing Simmonds. Or trading him again near the TDL if the team is out of playoff race.

The point of making cap space is to be able to sign Kempe and Iafallo next year. Can’t resign Simmonds and do that.
