Rangers playing with my emotions but yeah lets shed some fat

Created by: Cjeths
Team: 2018-19 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 28, 2018
Published: Oct. 28, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
With any luck, next years team looks like:

Buch-Zib-Panarin
Kravstov-Hughes-Kreids
Chytil-Andersson-Zucc
Vesey-Howden-Fast

Skjei-Shatty
Hajek-Pionk
Smith-Day/DeAngelo/Lindgren

Lundqvist
Shestyorkin
Trades
1.
NYR
  1. 2019 3rd round pick (CBJ)
Additional Details:
If CBJ commits to tryna win for this year then maybe they take a flyer in McQuaid exactly like what Boston traded for Nick Holden last year.

Personally I think McQuaid is better than Holden, and in theory should get us more, but I don't see a team trading more tbh.
CBJ
  1. McQuaid, Adam
Additional Details:
Dude doesn't wanna be here, send him to a contender where he can help em win.
2.
NYR
  1. Callahan, Ryan
  2. 2019 1st round pick (TBL)
  3. 2019 4th round pick (TBL)
  4. 2020 1st round pick (TBL)
Additional Details:
Deal is this:

Instead of contingent 1st, the Lightning give the NYR a guaranteed first and the NYR eat Cally's contract whilst sending them Vladdy for a 1st and a 4th
TBL
  1. Namestnikov, Vladislav
  2. 2019 2nd round pick (TBL)
3.
NYR
  1. 2019 1st round pick (NSH)
  2. 2020 7th round pick (NSH)
Additional Details:
If Nashville can't figure out their scoring issues.

Spoons doesn't have the help he needs to produce here. Nashville is depthy, but can't seem to bury them right now. Spoons can easily be a 40-50pt guy as a 3C with solid wingers
NSH
  1. Spooner, Ryan
  2. 2020 3rd round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
Rangers send Spoons and a 3rd to get another 1st + an extra 7th
4.
NYR
  1. 2019 1st round pick (VGK)
Additional Details:
Rights to Nikita Gusev

Yea yea yea I know the Gusev part is a stretch, but let's be honest have all these deals not been a stretch already? Like I'm sure the comments have filled in long before anyone read a description and that the rioters are outside my home with pitchforks and torches because of my suggested deals.
VGK
  1. Hayes, Kevin
Additional Details:
Hate to trade Hayes because his zone entries are the best around and he's developed into such a beastly TWF, but why not have 4 first round picks yknow? + if this Gusev ish happens I'll screech like a school girl meeting a Jonas brother in 2008.

Why would any team want Nameskikov? He's 4m ineffective. At least Callaghan at 5.8m is a little better but goes on IR enough for cap relief. I think Rangers will be good soon, they seem to have some good prospects. Once some of those long term now overpaid players have their contract ends, the Rangers again can be a cap efficient team.

So the rangers have a 2nd line center playing first line center, again, like usual. And a borderline 2nd liner in Buch on the top line. Yikes. And you fans wonder why we never win. You guys overrated Buch and overrate the poop out of skjei. Mika is 25 and hasn’t put up close to number one center numbers. Idc about 50 sum points. That’s a number one center on losers

Despite his slow start to this season, the 25-year-old Namestnikov is a versatile forward who can skate at center or wing, plays a two-way game and has decent offensive skills. He’s signed through 2019-20 with a $4-million annual cap hit and could be attractive to playoff contenders seeking second- or third-line depth. The rebuilding Rangers could consider moving him if they can get a suitable draft pick or prospect in return.
