Description

I've defended Hakstol in years past but I've given up on him at this point just like the players have. The only problem is, who do you bring in? There aren't too many options out there without a job right now that would be a good fit. Knoblauch in my opinion would not be ready. Do you bring in a Sutter or another recycled coach?

We need to make some type of change, not sure if Edm would bite (they would probably want more) on this but it gives them a player they thought they had in Lucic, a dman that could probably be called up now, a decent goalie prospect, and a forward prospect (with the brotherly connection).

I don't think we need to blow up the whole core but something needs to be done to light a fire under these guys.

Fine, just trade him to *insert any team here* for whatever pick or future considerations. We'll even eat half the salary.

I also think PHI should trade for a goalie. I just don't think anyone in the system (that's ready today...so not hart unfortunately) is going to be able to turn this team around. They're "tainted"...aka...PHI needs new blood in net. It's not like the defense is bad AT ALL. They actually have a good defense. It's just new life is needed. an energy infusion that is simply someone different.

Colorado would probably be the best trading partner for a goalie right now as Varlamov has been tearing it up and they have Grubauer as well. I could see them trading Varlamov since he is older, has a higher cap hit, and is a UFA after this year.

No point. Only has 1 year left at 2.5 mil. That being said, they should target Varlamov or Bobrovsky.

Wouldn't matter to us, but to a team up against the cap it would.
