Zaitsev has played fine and his contact is reasonable. Get off of your Don Cherry fix buddy.

Now, if ever, is the time to trim the least valuable contracts.

Zaitsev is moderately overpaid, has no NMC. Do it

Hainsey, unmoveable but in final year anyways so eliminating him doesn't help with Matthews + Marner
Marleau, unmoveable.

Gardiner won't be re-signed, but lock him up now if he'll take a 2x $3-4 or trade him now.

Dubas needs to start getting his homework done on time. 25 year olds who have never played in the NHL but looked good in the AHL will never save the day. Do the work Dubas.

Dubas is sure doing bad considering his team is second in its division and statistically far superior defensively than they were last year. lol

Zaitsev at $4 is reasonable. $3-3.5 is a good deal.

Either way, he'll never be part of a cup winning team down the road and we need the cap space urgently. We were willing to pay him more because we had nothing, and he was a mature UFA. Trade him now and we at least get something for nothing, because keeping him will cost the team elsewhere during the Marleau cap squeeze

You think it was Dubas' talent that brought Matthews and Tavares to Toronto? Do you fail to see how those wins can't be repeated?

You're the worst Habs fan trolling everybody to make Leafs fans look like morons

I hear your point, yet I disagree. Zaitsev's contract could be traded this year before his NMC kicks in. I get it. His play won't be the reason for it. Brown has to go. Nobody need to pay a 4th liner 2 million+.

What does any of that even mean?

Tavares was in Long Island, Dubas became GM in TO and Lou in New York. Tavares signs in TO, Dubas definitely had no work in that. Matthews was just luck, they won the draft lottery.

And how did Montreal come into play?

What are you even talking about and who are you a fan of?

Ziatsevs play is brutal imo and there’s no reason to not keep Jake who is an extremely good defensemen and is far far superior to Ziatsev
