Brown instead of Hyman could work thats fair. I don't think VAN retains Tanev salary, only because it seems like the extra year of Tanev would replace Hainsey's contract. And thats incentive for TOR to not overspend (i.e., Zaitsev)

I am not sure I understand the second half of that, but Tanev for Brown and a 1st is too much for Tanev without salary retained. I think Tanev for a 1st is fair, otherwise Brown and a second would make more sense since TO wouldn't be taking on so much extra salary.
