It's my belief that "if" NYR keeps playing the way their playing, Zibanejad won't get traded. At least not until after the season prior to the draft or prior to July 1st. But if they suddenly fall out of playoff contention, I would think NYR would be looking for in trade for (a young winger on an entry level contract, a very good prospect (s?), & a 1st round draft pick). Unless the NHL level player, prospect, or draft picks, on its own warrant the best deal for Zibanejad.

Zibanajed is a 1st liner with elite potential he is worth druin at worst and if not nyr wont move him he has 4 year contract at an insanely team friendly contract.

Drouin has 16 points in 19 games, and will prob hit 60 plus points. he is younger, has more talent and potential. at 25 a player doesn't get better. zibenajad is a 50 point player. thats it

It's not about value, MTL don't need a center, Domi, Kotkaniemi, Danault, Poehling, Suzuki... but MTL are looking for a LHD....

he's a one dimensional offensive winger. thats what the habs need from him. yeha he needs to be better in his own zone, but that will come. he has much more talent and potential then zibenjad. habs dont need a center either way
