Description
People specifically leaf fans and toronto media need to stop overrating Mitch Marner

The amount of takes ive seen just in the last 3 days from leaf fans and media is ridiculous

ive seen "marner is the best player on the leafs" Marner deserves 12 million even tho all his comparables make less then 8, and even the marner is the best player in the world takes.


The fact that people are willing to give marner 10+ but not give nylander 7 is obscene

I like marner as much as the next guy but he is

NOT worth 10+
NOT better then Matthews and Tavares
NOT the best player in the world
NOT an 100 point player

people need to stop embarrassing themselves.

There sure are wild swings in players RFA...money value. Draisaitl at 8.5m and Eichel at 10m seem high. Pasta seem low at 6.67. Kucherov at 9.5 was his third contract and was just one year from free agency is the second highest paid RWer.
I'm not saying any team is going offer Marner 10.2m, but that's about the offer sheet for four first rounders. Then the Leafs have a decision. But we have seen how very few offer sheets they have been, so what is really the leverage Marner will have.....or as we have seen Nylander.
