Isnt a top 4 of Nurse, Klefbom, Murray and Larsson pretty decent? I was really trying to put more D in but I wasnt sure where to find. I wanted to use those 3 guys in a way to get a solid top 2 lines, a couple upgrades to bottom 6, and solidify a decent top 4

Honestly (probably unpopular decision) but if I'm Columbus, I'm saying no to that deal. I'm not giving up 8 players and 5 picks (essentially 13 players) for 1 (Gravel is irrelevant). McDavid's the leagues best player. The only generational player since I argue Lemieux or Lindros but thats another story. But to give up 13 players for 1 when Dubois can still develop into a competent #1 centre, and Bjorkstrand and Milano could get some good development, thats a full line that might cost around 15M instead of 1 guy who's paid 12.5M is absolutely ridiculous. Just cause he's the best player in the league doesn't mean he's worth almost an entire team. He can't play by himself and win the cup. I get that you wanna get value for him, but you've gotta think more quality over quantity.
