I don’t care that Schwartz is always hurt, the team dies without him

they're 1-6-1 without him this year. He brings consistent energy every game even when he's not scoring and he was point per game last year. His injuries aren't even his fault. It's not like he is in terrible shape or has a reoccurring problem. I mean both injuries this year are from Tarasenko missing the net. I'm trading Schenn first because of his impending contract and position and then Tarasenko. Vladdy mopes around and has had an in explainable regression the last two years. Vladdy also gets you an incredible return because the league values him way more than the Blues do.

I agree like I said I would trade any of them, but again I just chose Schwartz for this.

no one else is commenting so I will see what I can come up with if I chose Tarasenko instead.

NO TRADING TARASENKO. It's a new rule.

Tbh my untouchables would be Tarasenko (won't get enough in return), Schwartz (injury risk drops his value too much to other teams), and ROR (1C). Those 3, plus the quality prospects (Thomas, Kyrou, Kostin, Bokk, Perunovich). Anyone else should be fair game. That leaves available a lot of players that I really like, but we gotta make some changes if this is the best this group can put out.

You could easily get enough value out of a trade with Tarasenko. Someone will give you a huge package for him, I am thinking Columbus after they lose Panarin.

I agree for the most part, but Tarasenko gets a monster return. If a team offers something great you do it

Tarasenko for Stamkos if the Bolts mess up in playoffs again. Point is already their best center, it saves them $1m, Kuch-Tarasenko would be ridiculous.

Yeah I like that, but I can't see them trading him. I bet they find a way to get rid of guys like Callahan and Killorn.

Yeah I am having trouble finding teams that would give us what we need. I think we really need a top pairing LHD maybe Werenski instead of Murray?

Yeah, that was what i was trying to get at when i said we won't get enough for Tarasenko... not many teams would make a lateral trade like that involving one of their best players. And getting a package of hopefuls is risky business. I feel like our best bet is to keep him. Maybe "untouchable" was the wrong word - more like "extremely careful if trading".

Yeah I agree, but I think a team would be willing to give up a package that is not too risky, like getting Werenski and Bjorkstrand you get the LHD we need and helper on PP and then a decent young goal scoring winger with upside plus future picks which yes can be risky.

Vladdy hasnt moped around this year. He's been giving more effort than players not named O'Reilly. Vladdy's regression came from coaching I think. Yeo tried to force him to play with Stastny despite it not working. And instead of keeping Vladdy with Schenn after the Schwartz injury they separated them. If he would have stayed with him numbers would be better. Under Berube I think he'll be more effective.

Vladdy does this every time. Just when people start questioning his effort and his value, he'll pop off 10 goals in 10 games and it will die down. I see what you see; he's playing harder and he's going to keep producing despite the ups and downs.

I’ve never questioned Tarasenko’s effort and compete levels, but when things aren’t going right he’ll get negative and lose confidence.

Every player goes through that though. Tyler Seguin just went through it earlier in the season.
