Team Canada World Junior Roster - December Edition

Description

So to start, Canada's GM Steve Staios has confirmed that for training camp it is expected to be 18 forwards, 10 defensemen, and 2-4 goalies invited.

I plan on filling out the 22 man roster and I'll add the cut invitees either here, in the comments, or as healthy scratches.

How I made the team, 1st I added the possible returning players: Comtois, and Formenton.

2nd, I added the players who got some NHL experience: Anderson-Dolan. Obviously Thomas and Rasmussen would be a lock for this team if they get sent back, but since it currently looks like that won't be the case, I've left them off.

After that it becomes simple combination of performance with their club teams and how they were evaluated during the CIBC Canada-Russia series.

Simply commenting so I can find this again since "Custom" rosters don't show up in Armchair GM History. I'll likely add more details to how I selected my roster.

Lafreniere is a roster guarantee even if he is just 17. He's already dominating the Q and is tipped to reach Crosby McDavid levels one day.

I agree he should be on there. I just won’t be surprised if he isn’t simply due to the politics of it. Same as how Russia likes to take mostly 19 year olds even if they aren’t the “best available”
