Description

Leafs will look at options to move one of Brown, Zaitsev, or Marleau (in that order) to free up space to retain and sign Matthews, Marner, Kapenen.

Dermott steps up, plays a big role next year.
Girardi signed to basically be Hainsey 2.0
Holl, Rosen, Liljegren, Sandin battle it out for the 3rd pairing.

Kapenen either plays the LW with Matthews or plays RW beside Kadri.

The D may be rough until Sandin and Liljegren hopefully become top 4 guys but that is a strong core

I may have cheaped out on Johnsson, but hopefully they can squeeze a couple hundred thousand by negotiating tough deals with Matthews, Marner, Kappy, Rosen, etc...

Well from the lips of dubas they are not moving anyone. I don’t think they are going to be handing out such huge contracts either. Ozhiganov will be much more cost effective than giardi

Players like Rosen Borgman and possibly ozhiganov will take their QO’s. Thinking mathews is under 12 and marner under 10.

You make a good point that Ohziganov may be a better option. Don't really trust him as a top 4 dman but what can you do. If we can get Matthews and Marner under 12 and 10 I applaud Dubas.

Hoping Matthews gets announced in season but marner isn’t negotiating till after.
