Moves between now and the deadline that all have term for next season and on.

The biggest piece given up here is Beau. We have more than enough prospects in the system to worry about having draft picks this season or next.

Bringing in Quick is an extreme upgrade with a VERY reasonable price and term. He may even cost more by way of draft picks which is entirely okay by me. He becomes the top tier stopgap between now and Sorokin coming over. Jeff Carter brings a nice amount of Stanley Cup experience to a younger team with a reasonable price and term attached to it. Carter is also versatile so he can play center ro wing interchangeably

The trade for Faulk should work out, Carolina needs a goalie desperately so Greiss fits well with limited term to test him and reasonable cap hit, and Pelech is a young replacement that can improve still.

The Isles have so many older guys on long term deals, I find it hard to swallow dealing Beau because he can score you goals on a nice cap hit
