No thank u coming from a habs fan, Leddy is alright, nothing special. Greiss is not that great, Clutterbuck is a cap dump and Ho-sang is a locker room cancer. Nope

Same habs fan here too. Even if Price plays above average team in front of him needs to play better

In 2 yrs when Greiss contract is done and Clutterbuck's 2 years remaining easier to buy out, wouldnt that extra cap be something that would make this trade worth it?

Let's modify this trade for a moment, hypothetically Leddy, Greiss and Clutterbuck are a sure thing of the return package, what other assets you believe that NYI would be willing to give up that you'd feel it would make it more fair?

No thanks. Don't need price, don't want that cap hit. need a stop gap option like Varlamov to usher in the Sorokin Era. also there is no way that gets it done for the Habs anyway

Well nothing is guaranteed till you see it with your own eyes. Sorikin is still a prospect, but Price is considered the "best" in the world. I know 1 thing for sure, Lou has a hard-on for top goalies, and if the Habs were to giive him up for the above package, Lou wouldn't care about the 10 mill.

Yes he would care. Lou might have a hard on for top goalies, but he's also not stupid enough to take on that contract, which is mostly signing bonus money, for a goalie who has shown clear signs of decline, and is getting paid until hes 40 w a full NMC. Islanders have a lot of holes to fill, and big contracts coming up. Price is not the best in the world; at one point yes but not now. Sorokin is more than Prospect; he's arguably the best goalie not in the NHL and is about to hit the prime of his career. from the games I've watched him, his technique has vastly improved over the last 3 years, and will likely be the starting goaltender for the islanders only one or two season after working with Mitch Korn to solidify his technique. its doubtful either side would pursue this move or that Carey Price would agree to it.
