Washington absolutely does not make this deal. Not because the value is off or anything, but Sutter isn't the return they are looking for if they were to trade Burakovsky. Backstrom, Kuznetsov and Eller are the locked 1,2,3 punch down the centre, and have Dowd and Boyd who are both natural centremen on the fourth line. Not to mention Stephenson is also a natural centre.

The Capital are looking for an NHL ready player in a Burakovsky trade and Sutter is exactly that. Sutter can also play right wing if you don't want him to play center.

Sutter career high was 40 points 8 years ago...... so yeah hard pass from the caps. His numbers are very similar to buras but he’s older and has peaked where bura hasnt reach full potential and is already = or better.

Caps have 0 reason to trade him for garbage, fringe nhl players or downgrades. You have very little knowledge on him and seem to lack the ability to understand leverage and potential.
