I know Kings fans are wanting a good return for their older star players but it's not happening. The Islanders and Minnesota both say no. Quick and Carter are good but both are over 35 and both have missed significant time because of injuries over the past couple years.

For Quick you can expect a late first with a decent prospect, and Carter is likely to get you a second round pick and a C prospect.

And no one will take Carter because he wants to retire if he is traded
