Ceci is worth a 4th or 5th round pick. He is overpaid and useless.. bad offensively and even worse on defence. You would need to start with re-signed Dzingel and continue adding pieces.

considering most trades in the NHL are for picks and prospects you cant just say "balance out with picks and prospects"

Kreider gets so so so so so so much more than Ceci

I get it Kreider > Ceci. Add whatever pieces make sense to both teams.
If I tried to no one would be happy lol. That's what happens with 95% of these armchair gms

Let's try: Ottawa adds Alex Formenton, Drake Batherson and a 2020 1st. That's what it takes for NYR to consider taking on Ceci's cap hit AND parting with Kreider in the same trade, I think.
