I think you have really short changed some. of the lower end RFAs just to sign a 30 year Pietragnelo to 7 year extension. That's a big overpayment for 1.5 rental, especially since you take two good regulars off the team. Probably even makes the Leafs weaker this season.

He would be 30 when he has 5 year extension. Yes the same as Tavares if both their contracts ends. Actually reading from some Blues fans they are disappointed in his play this year. I would worried thinking a guy is the same player he was at 30 then he was at 26. ctBut really a severe overpayment for 1.5m rental, which is would Pietrangelo this season. And really with his NTC and other factors like other teams cap space, the Leafs might be the ONLY team in the running for his services,
