That's really interesting... my preference would be to just re-sign Stone, but if that doesn't seem likely, I'd be all over this.

The only thing is, if Ottawa would shell out 9.5 mill a season for Benn, they would definitely be able to get a deal with Stone done, who could probably be less expensive. Also Benn's contract is very bonus heavy, which is a problem for Ownership.

Big trade? .. more like big no from both teams. Not nearly enough value for Benn and Eugene Melnyk wouldn't pay Karlsson 10M to play for his team, he sure as hell won't pay Benn that much.. I really hope this isn't a serious post.

Stone has 107 points in 99 games played this season and last, compared to 111 points in 123 games played For Benn. He's also been top 3 in takeaways in that time.
