Possible trade deadline trade

Team: 2018-19 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 3, 2019
Published: Jan. 4, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
how is this? I know this is going to hurt our cap problems signing our young guys but...
Trades
BOS
  1. Palmieri, Kyle ($1,000,000 retained)
NJD
  1. Heinen, Danton
  2. Smith, Gemel
  3. Zboril, Jakub
  4. 2019 2nd round pick (BOS)
  5. 2020 3rd round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
The devils are not a team ready to make the playoffs yet, and will not be a cup contender in a year or 2. Palmieri is a consistent 50 points, or 40 point scorer and would be a nice addition on this team. Yes, the Devils are going to be asking for quite some value for a return on such a player, a 1st line RW for them but at the same time, I feel that with out Palmieri, it is better for the Devils in two scenario. 1. the Devils tank and without a 40 to 50 point scorer, they get a top 5 pick, or 2. they play a prospect or young player higher than they should be playing and that player (Heinen if they decide to do so) develops really well beside Hall and Hischier (however you spell that name). I feel like a top 4 D (Zboril, yes he is developing very well), a top 6F, and a top 9 player with a 2nd and a 3rd is enough for them to trade Palmieri. Btw, the Devils have 25M in cap space and so retaining is not a big deal.

I dont see NJ trading Palmieri for that return. Goal scorers are hard to come by.

true... but still, NJD is basically wasting Palmieri while they would be getting younger players they can develop...

He’s signed for a couple more years, productive, he’s from the area. He isn’t going anywhere.

Johansson would be the most likely trade with Jersey, if he’s healthy. I’d stay away from him.

Yea, but if they wanted to move him they could get better players or picks

if a player is playing on their hometown team, I probably wouldn't want to touch them
