    Just a few notes
    1. Staal will want some term, maybe not a ton but at least 2 or more likely 3 years
    2. Idk if Tampa gives up a first to dump 1 year of Callahan, it’ll cost them but probably not a hole lot
    3. Idk what L.A’s interest is in that trade
But other than that it is interesting

I was thinking that Staal at 35 just after the start of next season might limit his offers and one bug year might be a good bet but I'd probably push to 2. Was also hoping there's some leverage for us seeing as Fletcher signed him for the Wild.

Tampa is gonna be hard up against the cap likely and I wonder if dumping what should be a late late first rounder is really a big deal for them all things considered. Gudas isn't just a dump either, they have a 3 regual D that are UFA's so they'll probably want some bodies in. Gudas is a good player and on retained salary a good fit for them.

In going with the idea the LA bits the full rebuild button. I guess it could be any team that goes on that direction. Basically 2 cap dumps (for one season) with 2 reasonable prospects and a pick, just helps to expand their prospect pool. Friedman could well see NHL time this season so easily next.

Not a fan of including Vorobyev and Friedman just to get rid of MacDonald and Weise. I'm fairly certain there is a GM dumb enough to trade for both with retention without having to give up solid prospects.
