Not sure how this really helps the Leafs. One year Pietrangelo and Tanev isn't better than giving up Kadri, Zaitsev and forced to having Spezza or another 2m centre playing big minutes. (plus the futures)
Big overpayment for one year of Pietrangelo. Probably an underpayment for one year of Tanev.
