We can talk about this team as a potential playoff team again. 6 points back of MTL for the 2nd wild card with 2 games in hand means the canes are right there in the hunt and they've been very quiet as they've chipped away at what was once a 10 point deficit to the habs. The offence is going, the D is elite, goaltending has been solid. powerplay's been clutch, PK's been great and it's becoming more and more evident that as the season goes along, Dougie Hamilton is starting to look like Dougie Hamilton. He's got 6 points in the last 5 games.... he's easily been one of the better canes over this stretch and when he's been going the team's been winning. The biggest question mark is still in goal because McElhinney has been amazing, but how long can you depend on a 35 year old goalie, and while Mrazek has been really good, he's prone to lapses, see Pageau goal vs Ottawa.
