Team: 2018-19 Carolina Hurricanes
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 10, 2019
Published: Jan. 10, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Necas deserves to be in the NHL, he's scoring extremly well in the AHL, and looked really good at the beginning of the season with Carolina. I believe he and Tarasenko would fit real well together.
Trades
1.
CAR
  1. Bouwmeester, Jay
  2. Tarasenko, Vladimir
Additional Details:
The Canes get a sniper who's having a down year, but he's been one of the most talented scorer over the last 4 seasons. Bouwmeester is a solid bottom pairing d-man still and could use time out of St.Louis.
STL
  1. Bean, Jake
  2. Foegele, Warren
  3. Rask, Victor
  4. Saarela, Aleksi
  5. Wallmark, Lucas
  6. 2019 2nd round pick (CAR)
  7. 2019 5th round pick (CAR)
  8. 2020 3rd round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
The Blues get a great young d-man in Bean, a young centre in Hallmark has 2nd line centre potential, Foegele has potential as a solid top 9 forward, and Saarela looks like he could be a top 6 guy. Rask is there for cap reasons and because he looks like he's getting squeezed out of Carolina.
2.
CAR
  1. Dzingel, Ryan
  2. 2019 4th round pick (OTT)
Additional Details:
Dzingel is having a great year, but I don't know if he can maintain this scoring but he does provide scoring from the wing that the Canes need.
OTT
  1. McGinn, Brock
  2. 2019 1st round pick (CAR)
Additional Details:
McGinn still looks like he can be a serviceable bottom 6 winger, and is younger than Dzingel.
3.
CAR
  1. Bracco, Jeremy
  2. Lindholm, Pär
  3. Zaitsev, Nikita
  4. 2019 2nd round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
The Canes take back Zaitsev who yes is overpaid, but they get back an excellent prospect in Bracco and a 2nd. Lindholm is a solid 4th line centre and is an improvement over guys like Bishop and McKegg.
TOR
  1. Faulk, Justin
  2. Pu, Cliff
  3. 2019 3rd round pick (CAR)
Additional Details:
The leafs get a solid top 4 d-man in Faulk who I believe needs out of Carolina.

For the old Senko fine but senkos quickly losing his ability to get better, he’s ageing and he’s regressing. He isn’t on tract to get near last year, and it’s clear he’s not going in the right direction.

Players have slumps, even elite ones like Ovechkin and Stamkos. Hell 3 years ago Skinner went from a 30 goal scorer to an 18 goal scorer with term left on his contract. Would have accepted an equivalent deal then for Skinner? The answer is no because you'd be stupid to do so. When he was just traded, Carolina's hands were tied because he had one year left. Tarasenko is signed for a team friendly deal. I dont even want to trade him to be honest with you.
