I don't think you understand how bad Ceci really is because giving him a 4-year deal is a death sentence.

Also, Hayes will probably not get more than 6M in UFA

Stars cup run? Yeah maybe in 2021 or 2022. But not happening this year. Too much turmoil with that team right now.

Ceci is bad. Coming from a Sens fan... Ceci is negative value to any team. 5th rounder and/or a 7th (or a C+ prospect) maybe but not Honka. Ottawa would gladly accept though. Why not go after someone cheap in $ like Dzingel? Would cost a 2nd round pick at most?

I'd be surprised if he got less than 6.5, but I doubt he gets above 7.

Ceci is atrocious, Not sure why the stars would ever consider him period. Hayes and Ceci alone don't even come close to making Dallas cup contenders. Too many better teams out there.
