Lehner would be a good fit in Chicago, I wouldn't commit to him for 3 years though. He's too inconsistent, has one bad year, then one good year. Maybe on a 2 year deal with a little more salary would be a good signing. 2 years gives Chicago enough time to see what they really have in Delia while Crawford is probably close to done. Gardiner's getting more than 4 years and more than $5M, if that was his deal he'd be staying in Toronto. He has his defensive lapses but he's still a 50 point defensemen, if he hits the open market he'll be upwards of $6.5M at at least 6 years. & Pirri will be a good depth option for any team, but with how many teams are gonna be trying to get him, it wouldn't shock me to see him get north of $2M with more term.

But I think all 3 of those players would consider Chicago, just need to change the contracts more. I'd also try to find a taker for the Seabrook contract, might have to give up a little to do it but it'll be far worth it. Then you could have Keith - Jokiharju, Gardiner - Murphy, (whoever) - Boqvist. Gardiner is easily a top 4 dman on this team and would need to play that role to sign in Chicago

I would like to see Gardiner in a Blackhawks uniform next season. Tonight’s dismal effort aside, Keith (for his experience) and Gustafson (for his friendly hit and decent PP production) to Toronta for Kadri (useful centerman) and Gardiner (with a reasonable cap increase). Toronto may be taking a chance with a older Keith but his cap hit is stabilized and moving to a team on the rise may bring out some more good in him. (Right now I could care less about recapture; Chicago isn’t going anywhere with or without Duncan Keith for the next four years anyways!). He seems to be the most realistic of their Cup winners to waive. It is beyond time for the Hawks to move on completely and this TDL might be an excellent opportunity to trade a Keith.
