Description

The idea behind STL trade

Pietrangelo = Pelech, Ho-Sang, Dal Colle, 1st rounder

Perron+Allen = Lehner+Cizikas, one with no value and one with good value. Lehner has been really solid this season, and so has Perron. Cizikas is a tad overpaid but could work as a lower line center. Allen is just useless.

Bozak = 2nd rounder. Decent return for a tad overpaid middle six forward.

Steen = Boychuk. Figured STL would like a D if they lose Petro

How are you paying Lee and Beauvillier this year (on top of a pay raise for Bob)? Not to mention Barzal and Pulock the year after

That's the big question, ain't it.

Probably would have to let Nelson walk (Bellows can maybe replace him) and try to either trade or buyout Clutterbuck or Ladd.

honestly to be fair you strengthen nothing here, you just trade a third of a potential playoff team for guys who have underachieved and will need to learn a new and pretty expansive system on the fly.

as a CBJ Fan that is to pricey for bobrovsky. his play has not been up to even net half of those assets. To me it depends where the islanders are at come closer to the deadline. if they are right there in the hunt as well as cbj I don't see this trade happening.

Is the trade fair?

It's a lot to digest - too many moving parts for my taste. I'd rather keep the core together and figure out a way to shed the bad contracts separately (whether it be via buyout or induce another team via picks)
