PLD Trade
I think this is a trade that gets done in the offseason. it would really depend on laine's next contract and when it would be signed. unless CBJ is out of playoffs

Dubois possibilities
I really do not think Jarmo would trade PLD this year unless we were out of playoff contention. Also, I highly doubt he would ever trade to a division opponent or even a conference rival unless the trade would blow him outta of the water. It would have to be a panarin from Blackhawks to CBJ type of deal for example.

The Duchene trade is interesting. If Korpi is in the trade would take out the 1st round pick. With Korpi's play last year he is at least worth that. Josh Anderson is really the main piece here. if CBJ can do a sign and trade then we may be looking at forward and a prospect maybe a defensemen. as for the Stepan trade I like a guy knowing torts in the system but I think Stenlund is a bit high for one year of him especially at that cap hit. if anything maybe a lower round draft pick or a mid round prospect. Arizona needs picks in this years draft not players. Wennberg buyout is good only if we cant get something for him. Which I hope we do.

I could see them resigning kinkaid especially since neither goaltender is proven yet.

I see Murray and Wennberg being traded for picks. We can easily find a depth guy to fill Wennberg's spot or go to free agency. Clendening and Harrington proved their worth in the playoffs. Need to save cap space for PLD and Anderson paydays. If wennberg could be traded we would definitely need a top 6 center to fill his spot preferably one that is a good playmaker that isn't afraid to shoot the puck. Brock Nelson from islanders seems the odd man out. he would be a good gritty 3rd line center that is no stranger to scoring goals at a somewhat reasonable price.

New UFA amp Youth
That is a young team that will take atleast two years to make it into the playoffs, but the skys is the limit on the potential. however I think Dzingel is overpayed for his age. it will probably take that much to keep Josh Anderson whom is 3 yrs younger.

Playoff lineup
Im a CBJ fan at this rate we are not even gonna make it to the 1st round if we play like we played the penguins kiss the post season goodbye along with all your UFAs no one is going to resign with a team that cant compete consistently against the big guns. It was a piss poor effort against a team that was missing almost all of its defensive core.

Playoff lineup
Wennberg may or may not be gone. I see PLD, Dzingel, Bjorkstrand as a line. Jenner, Anderson, Foligno line will not change especially during playoffs. which leaves Dubinsky, nash and I believe Robinson has earned a spot here as of late. If Robinson can keep up his hard work and limit defensive turnovers. I believe he steals wennbergs spot. Because robinson is not afraid to shoot the puck at the net. in the past 3 games robinson has had more attempts on net the Wennbergs past 10 games.

Werenski should it and I mean should not be played more than Jones on his first long contract y don that defensemen usually are not amazinf till they are almost 27 28 yes old. Get paid a good amount in the short term then cash in big for your final contract. 4 yr at 5 mill is fair

I just believe that to get quick we would need a 1st round pick. so if CBJ has to add to that deal they most likely will to get a 1st

I believe just quick will be able to sustain us goaltending wise for longer. His overall playoff number are great and he is very consistent. Howard is looking like he may resign back in Detroit. and if we trade bob we will need a goaltender to help korpi to keep us in playoff contention year after year till younger goal tenders are ready. <div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jfstompers</b></div><div>Trade for Howard instead of quick, he's gonna cost way less so you can at least make a profit switching goalies.</div></div>

I don't see the Min trade happening either. You don't trade for 34 year old centers. Value there isn't that high.</div></div>
I would do a one for one. Wennberg for staal. Wennberg has term but staal even at 34 could help offensively an faceoffs and powerplay. Hell even throwing the puck at the net is an improvement over wennberg. however CBJ would have to eat some salary to make it worth while.

Possible TDL moves
CBJ fan. I am disappointed with wennberg for the last two years. It is time for a change he has had time to change his game. Hannikainen and Sedlak are developing faster than wennberg At least brassard is not afraid to shoot the puck which is what we need . However its just a 3C for 3C because Torts has stated that the Jenner Foligno Anderson line is his second line. But it is an upgrade for CBJ for sure. however for penguins to take this I think CBJ would have to eat some cap.

as a CBJ Fan that is to pricey for bobrovsky. his play has not been up to even net half of those assets. To me it depends where the islanders are at come closer to the deadline. if they are right there in the hunt as well as cbj I don't see this trade happening.

Fleury. I would have to say CBJ might need to send more salary the other way or St. louis has to eat some of that cap. For us to sign our free agents next year to reasonable deals, we would need at least 6-7mill cap space left. to me 4.9mill for a center and 5.85 mill for a third and 4th line center respectively is not ideal.

I could see LA asking for bjorkstrand over milano. I believe hannikainen would be off limits. Maybe sedlak they would go for he is a decent penalty killer. I'm assuming this is a trade deadline deal. If LA would a green to this. This Mark's the start of a massive rebuild

I do not think Z is worth that much. On his own, we see his flaws as a defensemen and he is still developing. I understand he is still recovering mentally from that injury, but it shows on the ice. His play is much better with Jones on the ice. With that said, is it fair to say he should be getting paid more than Jones when Jones is the superior defensemen who still is growing as a player and will only get better. Plus, there is not enough Cap space to sign PLD the following year or Anderson. Just take these two into account when signing players for 2019-2020 season. Anderson is on a 20 goal 40 pt effort this year and PLD will Probably reach the same mark as last year.

sign duchene
If Duchene wants out of Ottawa fine, idk about that price. I think we do not need keith kinkaid and he has been amazing for devils I do not see them letting him hit free agency. Ryan murray is not worth 4 million per year. Sonny Milano is definitely not worth that given his inconsistency even in a top six role. I personally see Milano as trade bait for deadline. If Duclair keeps going at this pace he will have at least 20-30 pts this year most being goals. I could see Jarmo getting this man another 1 year deal around the 1.5 mill mark just to see if his play stays consistent, after that he could get a big pay raise. You need money in Bank to sign PLD to a bridge deal and Anderson, 2 million is not going to cut it. I do not believe Z is worth 6 million I understand he is recovering mentally from a big injury but playing on his own we can see the flaws of his play. if you are going to compare his contract to his play and his play only I see him netting less than seth jones around the 5 million mark. I only say this because his play is better overall with Seth on the ice making seth the better player which means Z should not get more than what seth is earning now. Hannikainen not worth 1.5 million he will be slowly phased out due to talent of prospects.
Werenski 6 yr- 5.0mill his play is better with jones on ice, so for right now jones deserves to be jackets highest paid defensemen
Milano will be traded at some point to give him more offensive time. he will not get it on this team with its depth at forward.
Murray 2yr- 3.25 mill make sure he stays healthy and have consistent playing he could command more after these 2 yrs
Duclair 1yr-1.5 mill make sure his play is consistent and that he doesn't regress.
Duchene is 27 I see play declining once he hits Dubinsky age good comparison would be Bobby Ryan at 31 yrs. 4 or 5 yrs at 7.0-7.3
Unless jackets make to eastern conference semifinal or finals Panarin will not stick around unfortunately.
the rest of the signings I agree with to keep the great defensive depth and forward depth
