Easy solution
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JarmoK</b></div><div>Yeah you're probably right. But if Lou wants him now and wants time to negotiate, he might pull the trigger</div></div>
Unfortunately Bobrovsky screwed his value by telling media that the CBJ office knows what his plans are after this season. The problem with that is Any GM wanting to pull the trigger for a trade is taking just about as big of gamble is if they traded for Panarin with not knowing if he will resign or not. I do not know if the CBJ office is obligated to tell prospective gm's what his future plans are, and if they do it could still end up hurting his trade value. t To make trade even fair with this in mind is a long shot. I think eberle would be a great veteran addition to replace panarin pts and with his age he probably wants a cup contender not a rebuilding team unless he wants to resign with said rebuilding team then CBJ gets burned

I don't believe that Is enough for Bobrovsky. I think Islanders would be better off waiting till free agent period to try and sign him outright. that way they don't have to pay assets during the season.

Jarmo would never do a deal that givers up a 1st round pick its like his mainstay philosophy. Atkinson will be a jacket till he retires. Murray's ordeal is a bit questionable.

I will try and do this for every team but no guarantees. I will probably make the questions more generalized as to not upset fans from other fan bases, but being a jackets fan i figured i new more about my teams inner workings than others.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>i swear if CBJ isn't going to use milano they should trade him to the Pens where he will be appreciated on the LW.
It would be just another bone head decisions in a line of bone head decisions like trading Karlsson.
This team is going no where till they get rid of Tortz and he's gonna chase every decent player out.</div></div>
I think torts just wants guys responsible on both ends. CBJ does not have the luxury of having a forward going all gung ho on offense with no defensive capabilities. they are to young for that and the defense minus werenski and jones is still developing.

CBJ discussion #2
1.) I see Abramov definitely making the team and Davidsson will be like a hanniakinen this year called up if there is an injury or someones game goes to crap.
2.) I think Milano will be fighting for his job because we have a lot of good wings in development and we only need one to play better defensively to knock milano out of his spot.
3.) I agree
4.) I think it all depends where they are at by trade deadline. If jackets are in playoff spot contention as in spots in the wildcard they will keep both to make a push to try and get 1,2, or three seed in Metro and risk getting nothing for either of them. if they are in 1,2 seed inmetro by that time I could see them trading Panarin to his supposed spot.
5.) I see at least till the seattle expansion team comes in as their window after that its back to drawing board
6.) I briefly discussed this on 4, but on the slight chance that the jackets keep panarin for whole year and make it to playoffs there may be a slight chance he would resign only if the jackets make it past the 2nd round. to me that would be the only reason he would stick around.
7.) I see Bob staying till end of year regardless where they are at. the only way i see jackets resigning him is if Jarmo can convince Bob to sign a team friendly contract in order to keep a playoff appearance streak going. this falls under with the likes of crosby and malkin they both signed team friendly deals in order to give the team the best possible chance of getting cups/ playoff appearences fro years to come, and we all see how that is going. however if all bob wants is money and has no desire to be with team then let him walk.
8.) 7 answers most of this but i think Korpisalo gets more starts this year to see if he can handle extra workload.
9.) Murray needs to have one hell of a year he is playing for a contract.
10.)I see Dubois and Bjorkstrand having breakout years. i could see dubois easily putting up 60-70 pts if panarin is on the line for a significant amount of the season. Bjrokstrand I could see just breaking 50pts by the end of the season.
12) i would have to say most overrated player is Wennberg and most underrated is Bjorkstrand. I believe Wennberg will never live up to his potential and is basically dubinsky 2.0. Bjorkstrand put up 40 pts and hardly got any media address you put up 40 pts in 82 games as a rookie by just going through the motions.
13) I agree with all of those minus Wennberg and if Abramov makes the team and is in top 6 i could see him breaking 50 pts.
14.) I think they make it to 2nd round but that is it.

panarin
I do not know why the jackets would sign and trade panarin for a guys that will put them in the same position they are in now. The only way Jarmo will pull the trigger on any package from the islanders is if the UFA roster player has an extension in route. For example Eberle or Nelson would have to do a sign and trade as well and the odds of two players from opposite teams agree to a sign and trade is very slim not to mention the extension have to friendly cap wise to the respective teams. if they can get that to work, how would you feel Eberle w/extension and a 2nd and prospect Aho

Panarin Deal Now
even with a contract extension we would be trading a contract for a contract except CBJ gets a guy 2 yrs older than Panarin which means islanders get the better deal. I do not see Jarmo wanting to keep him past or 35. yes he will produce but or how long? And do the Jackets want to take another Dubinsky/Hartnell risk taking a huge salary cap hit for a guys numbers that may dip. We do not know myabe eberle will be a 50pt guy till tat age but Jarmo likes to have a young team so asking him to trade an impact player for a maybe 50pt guy later on I doubt the trigger will be pulled. the other two are all relying on the eberle piece both are good prospects and can defintely provide depth and help improve a team in a year or so I would agree to those. However, a piece or two made need to be substituted in order for this to work do to aging players

Opening night Rookies break line up
I will answer each question one by one. Nash will take about 10 to 15 games to get accustomed to Torts and he will definitely challenge Wennberg for the #2 center spot I see Nash having a 30-40 pt season even on the 3rd line on the second line he could have 40-50 pts I see him having more responsibility than Wennbergwhich is why is numbers will be better.Wenn berg will be lucky if he gets between 30 and 40 pts. most of those will be off the powerplay deflected off of his body from screening or puck deflection like a Scott Hartnell. In regards to Duclair all depends on Davidsson. If Davidsson lives up to the hype then Duclair will just be a depth guy to fill in when an injury strikes. If panarin stays up until the trade deadline I could see Dubois racking up close to 60-70 pts, I f Panarin is gone beofre that he may top out at his rookie numbers or dip a little bit. If the whole 1st line is together the whole season i could see dubois in the high 60s to low 70s in terms of pts. Bjorkstrand will be about the same and wennberg will be the same maybe slightly better but not much. Bjrokstrands ceiling is way higher than Wennbergs. I think Wennberg now is the best you are going to get unfortunately. This will be Murrays last year in Columbus regardless how he performs its how much will he increase his trade value this year. We have a deep defensive prospect pool and Murray can hellp reestablis lost draft picks or can used to help us to acquire a rental at deadline. Nutivaara will defenitely pick up where he left off maybe even better. Kukan i am unsure about with regards to games sample. Panarin will stay if we get past second round. Columbus will only sign BOB if they cannot get Panarin to sign. They cannot have both. Jenner fully healthy like the last 30 games he can easily put togehter between 30-50 pts. With foligno's attitude he will have probably the most self motivation out of every one. i could see him putting in at least 50 to 60 pts next year.

Panarin to NYI
It really depends on if the rookies who crack the line up this year. those kids could have an amazing NHL season and make it easier for this deal to happen at trade deadline then at end of season. If the rookies cannot keep up with NHL pace then i see this deal going down after the playoffs.

Jackets won't trade Murray away unless he has a bad season panarin will go to Tampa it's just a matter of when. I see milani going with Abramov and Davidsson. Jackets won't trade for duchene they will wait till off season to acquire him if they are still interested. We don't need another panarin type situation

I would take Miller and another prospect as long as Panarin does a sign and trade and substitute Milano for Bjorkstrand. The Kids coming through CBJ AHl club like Abramov, Davidsson, and Robinson will outperform and put our bottom six wingers out of there jobs. Plus, any player Jarmo drafted in 1st 3 rounds is untouchable as long as they are useful to Columbus which makes Players like Oliver, Anderson, Werenski and unfortunately Murray all untouchable in Jarmos eyes.

Attempting to succeed after Panarin's departure - trades with SJ, OTT and BOS
Jackets Fan Here. Blue Jackets are going to have to dump some salary between this year and next to make way for these kids coming up. These kids in The AHL will push some of these overpaid 3rd and 4th liners out of a job. Not to mention Jarmo shot himself in the foot when your "Core" of the team is signed for only 2 -3 yr bridge deals. You Look at a team like Tampa or Toronto they did it right by locking guys in to long term deals to keep that winning core together by paying pout the ass now rather than later. Probably Jarmos last year as GM anyways especially if he cant sign Bobrovsky. Panarin is gone regardless. just focus on Signing Sergei and dump some salary at the deadline. it is the only way this team will succeed long term

I was looking at werenski in the long run if he signs for a lower cap hit now then when we extend him when he's around 27 ish we can sign him a other 5 or 6 year deal without breaking the bank. Plus I am giving dubi benefit of the doubt and hope he improves and if he does they will trade him with a better value depending on if Murray has a bounce back year and plays majority of the games if bot I could see him going for a 2nd rd pick
