Description

The penguins will most likely be trading with 3 teams by the trade deadline.
Here are two of the rumors being floated.
CBJ has called on the Penguins about Brassard, it is well known a C has to come back the other way.
Toronto has called on the Pens looking for defensive help. They were origionally in on Muzzin but Muzzin was reported as being too expensive for Toronto to consider trading for.

CBJ is reportedly very interested in getting Brassard.
There is talent in an under performing Wennberg who was expected to be a 2C but hasn't panned out.
This deal allows CBJ to aquire a 2C in Brassard for two under performing players on CBJ.
Milano starts down in WBS. Wennberg gets a chance to fil the 3C role.

The price on a top 4 defense man is reported to be extremely high.
Price on Muzzin was Kap + 1st +....
This trade allows Tor to make a one for one swap. They will get a top 4 defense man with term on a low contract for a LW they won't be able to keep due to cap reasons.

Brassard is a 2nd line center? So is Anisimov, trust me.

I'm sorry, which one of those do you think Brassard wouldn't outplay for the 2C position?

Or maybe you would like to go with the though process of a guy who has 1, count them 1, goal in 48 games isn't worth it?
Because that is what they have now. Hell Wennberg has been demoted to 3C for multiple games going with what you got above.
Clearly he's an upgrade.

CBJ fan. I am disappointed with wennberg for the last two years. It is time for a change he has had time to change his game. Hannikainen and Sedlak are developing faster than wennberg At least brassard is not afraid to shoot the puck which is what we need . However its just a 3C for 3C because Torts has stated that the Jenner Foligno Anderson line is his second line. But it is an upgrade for CBJ for sure. however for penguins to take this I think CBJ would have to eat some cap.

I like the Columbus trade. I don't think you'll get Milano along with Wennberg. Maybe Brassard and a pick and some retainage on Wennberg.
If that is the price for Muzzin i'd try to get a little more from Toronto than just Johnsson. Maatta is younger and cost controlled for years. Muzzin will price himself out of toronto after next season. Maybe throw in a 2nd or 3rd.
