Something Different

Created by: kopiino
Team: 2020-21 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 12, 2019
Published: Jan. 16, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Too many D prospects, not enough space. Boqvist is extremely talented offensively and could be a solid two way forward and fully utilized on the powerplay. Beaudin, Krys, and Mitchell are all offensive minded as well, so pair them up with TWD/DFDs to make up for what they will be leaving open defensively.

Buyout Seabrook whenever its possible pls.

I'm also not saying we should do this, but we do have a small history of playing defensemen at RW :)

Goalies are all dependent on who's playing the best tbh. Gravel, Peeters, or Nalimov could all be solid back-ups.

Gustafsson is elite.

Definitely keep Delia...that would be crazy to move him. Please say no to TVR...Murphy is a better player at this point and he's worth a 2nd round pick all day. The guy has been the only shut down physical Defenseman for the Hawks. On the right...he's good in the 2nd pairing and would be one of the best 3rd pairing guys in the league if Mitchell pans out to be better. Bottom line, don't trade him for a 3rd and a 5th. Cap will likely be $85M in 2 years given the expansion draft. We don't need Josh Anderson when we can re-sign Kahun who IMO makes an awesome 3rd line winger especially with someone like the Cat. Who do the Hawks draft this summer in your scenario? As a likely top 5 pick, certainly they will be playing in 2020...Cozens, Dach, Hughes, Kappo....all these guys are going to be playing top 3 line minutes in 2020 on any team.

No lol. His ineptitude is the source of my favorite hockey memory. He’s turned into a nice player, but he’s like a Jame Gardiner type.

That CBJ proposal is ludicrously absurd and has less than zero chance of happening. The Jackets have zero need for goaltender prospects and even less for a marginal player like Perlini, but have a lot of interest in keeping one of the best goal scoring wings they have.

Delia isn't a prospect and Perlini is a future 15-25 goal scorer on the right team. CBJ have very little chances of re-signing Bob, so a Delia - Korpi tandem would not be bad. Not sure how that's "ludicrously absurd" but go off

    Murphy isn't anything special

Not that TVR is much either, but just because Murphy fears leaving the zone doesn't mean he's a good DFD.

I've watched every game Murphy has played in a blackhawks sweater. Take a sampling of the last 30 games and he's been a shut down guy....I'd take him at his age and contract over Jammer and certainly over TVR. TVR plays the powerplay but we don't need that with Gus, Jokiharju, soon to be Boqvist also and Seabs or Keith.

Anderson is a current 15-25 goal scorer on any team, including this one. And if your guy has a grand total of 10 career NHL games, he's still a prospect. We've got lots of guys in the system ready to move up.

It's ludicrously absurd. Take the L and move on.
