I think Ty Dellandrea is a good Starting point for this deal. He's young and he could be the answer to the lack of Right hand shots in the organization. If he shifted over to RW, that would go a long way for prospect depth on that side.

That said, there are a few pieces that don't quite work for Ottawa. I think I'm going to fiddle around with this idea and see if I can make it make more sense from an Ottawa perspective.

It's a very interesting idea though!

What is that Carolina trade?

You're giving up the Stars top prospect (and their only goal scoring prospect) for a guy that's hit 40 points once in his career? Dallas hangs up the phone on that deal rather quickly.

I think that it is giving up too much for sure on the Stars part. But, the Canes also love Ferland. Not saying it's a good trade, but I am saying that it'd take a lot to part with him on their part. Their my secondary/Eastern Conf team so keep up with them a fair bit.

Maybe offer Heatherington and Ritchie to hold onto Robertson.
