Overpayment for Schenn?? I'd would've retained 50% of Backes contract if needed. The 1st is added for the Blues to take Backes.

pretty much a joke at this point, we aren't moving backes, lets deal with it. Hes been good at points, a great leader, good defensive player, but not worth 6M, no ones going to eat up that contract. Coyle is not needed if we got Schenn. Done. and when we are doing with the cup push, we have no prospects to dig out of. Also what kind of trade is that for Coyle, you need to add in a 2nd at least.

You obviously didn't see the Backes salary retention part.

We'll move him this off-season and I've outline how it's possible numerous times.

No to the Schenn deal. Frederic is a non-starter for Boston and Backes is a non-starter for St. Louis (right now).

Grz + Heinen + mid prospect + 2nd or 3rd

to who? are you mad. Who will be taking that contract. Everytime the GMs hear Backes in a deal with the Bruins, they're going to say NO!

You do realize that after his bonuses are paid out Backes has 4M in real money due to him, right? A team looking to reach the cap floor could take on Backes at 6M AAV for the next 2 years (12M total) and only pay him 4M of that.

No need to add such a high piece to trade Backes when he's already retained. Frederic + Heinen + 1st is way too much for Schenn (UFA in 1.5 years), even with Backes going the other way.
