Additional Details:

Allen has played decently since coaching change and has shown that he can compete in the post-season. Seems to need a change of scenery to restart. If I compare the two today, then yes they are not comparable. Schenn is definitely better. If I compare 20 year old Schenn to JP, then they are closer (18 pts in 54 games for Schenn in his first Philly year). The Blues are unlikely to make the post season this year and should start looking at next year. A player like JP would help with retooling for the future.

I’m ok with trading Schenn if it addresses an organizational need. Puljujärvi Is the furthest thing from a need because he’s not that good of a prospect. The Blues will need Left Defense and a real goalie next year.
