Toronto can't sign Panarin... Nylander contract wouls be at 6,5M cap hit vs Panarin over 9M like Marner!!! No way in Toronto!!!

Both teams decline. Bad return for CBS. Leafs can’t afford Panarin and he won’t re-sign there.

The most logical trading partner is Fla. They are out of the hunt. They are on his short list but not 1st choice, if they want him this is there best chance to get him. They can offer a very good package of NHL talent that would keep Jax competetive immediately and clear cap space in Fla for an extension.

Nylander has a poor work ethic and a huge cap number. I know his issues in Toronto playing his way more toward 4th line and the minors than a top line. The Jackets don’t want your baggage. On paper it looks good but I know turd we are getting, nice try
