Trade Idea - Read Description

Team: 2018-19 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 21, 2019
Published: Jan. 21, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I find it hilarious when people on here post a trade from the point of view of the opposing team they cheer for, and then 10 minutes later someone else will say, I saw this trade proposed by a Leafs fan.

No you didn't, you saw a post from a Canucks fan who pretended to be a Leafs fan and now Canucks fans are getting excited thinking something this insane can actually be a possibility.

Also it doesn't have to be the Canucks, I have seen plenty of other fan bases do the same thing. It may not even be a fan thing, just trolls, but I digress.

It's really sad just how little Leafs nation thinks of Edler & Tanev. Yes they are aging and not the players they used to be but man, they would help any elite hockey team. No way should Vancouver make that trade. Edler is likely going to re-sign, but the way he is playing he should command a 1st + a B prospect. Tanev is still worth and low 1st, 2nd + a B prospect if he was to go. Leaf fans want to get something while giving up absolutely nothing.

The point was missed by a huge distance here boss.

The trade is utter trash, that is the point.

People on here keep doing stuff like this.

There is a post further down today where a guy traded Tanev, Gudbranson and someother crap for Nylander, Zaitsev, a 1st and Liljegren or something like that. That was posted from TO's point of view and 10 mins later a different Canuck fan posted the same trade and said, an interesting idea posted by Leaf fans. Obviously no Leaf fan in the world would think that trade makes sense. I've seen Carolina fans do that as well. Post a trade something like Pesce for Nylander, a 1st and Liljegren and then post a little while later saying, "I saw this from a Leaf fan". No you didn't you posted it pretending to be a Leaf fan so you could justify it. Its a troll tactic and its super transparent.

As for your statement, I think you are selling on Tanev's value from 2-3 years ago. At 28 and with his injury troubles, I think he'll get you a 2nd and a mid range prospect, more if you retain salary.

Of course not, Edler I think gets you a first and an okay prospect. Tanev all depending on if you retain salary.
