If they don't make any more rasht trades maybe they can build the Pittsburgh model. Go 3 deep down the middle and use the money to get McDavid some help. I think Nyquist is the perfect fit at the right price, given his speed and his skill will complement McDavid.

While the roster has some buy low hopefuls, there is enough cap room to add if need be.

I think Koskinen could be a disaster at that ticket, so it's imperative they start drafting and trading for some young goalies immediately. Guys like Comrie, Jarry, Stolarz, etc.

Kings aren't going to trade Trevor Lewis for Spooner. Lewis is actually a quality player. He is voted unsung hero by his teammates every season, is the team's best penalty killer after Kopitar, and had a career high in goals last season. Spooner isn't a NHL-quality player anymore and is significantly more expensive than Lewis.

If you want to add Caleb Jones or Ethan Bear to the trade, then sure the Kings will trade you Lewis and take back your cap dump. Otherwise, no thanks.

You should try to give Persson a shot in North America. I watch him a lot because he plays on the same team as Bokk and I think he could run a power play. Big shot and nice hands, but he’d probably have to be sheltered at even-strength.

They should get it over with and trade RNH now while he has a lot of value.
They aren't going to turn this around in 1 year. Then by the year after he will be a rental and not nearly as valuable as he is with 2 years left.
Especially if they can deal him at trade deadline. They can get multiple pieces back and not really lose anything. Because I don't see RNH resigning on this dumpster fire of a team.
