Description
Why does it seem Goldobin is on the trade block? Seems to be having a decent year. Also, what would his asking price be?

Goldobin is having a career season by his standards.... but only because he's playing with Pettersson. He can't rely on just one guy to save his career. If you drop him to the 3rd line or play him with someone not named Pettersson, he'll go downhill right away. I dont see him getting SOG much, and he can sometimes be a defensive liablility. If we do trade him, best case scenario is a 1st rd pick in return. But realistically, I think he can fetch a 2nd rd pick and a C+ prospect. Or we can package him in a deal with Pouliot/Gudbranson to get some more picks or players in return

I think Edmonton would be a GREAT fit for him. Dallas too.

Yes, i see DAL having a better fit. Goldobin would go great with McDavid (I think), but DAL has more structure in its game

IMO, wait until the draft for a sign and trade deal. Package him and a pick to move up, for example, Goldy and the 40th overall pick for the 26th overall or something like that.

Yeah, though I’d rather package him for a legit LW or RHD prospect. Like a package to Dallas to get Robertson or get Honka plus a pick. Fabbro and Fox are two players I wouldn’t mind getting either. A second and a C prospect is his value ATM though.

His value isn't high enough for that type of trade yet. Could be in the future, but for now, I'd rather Benning took a stab at the draft than try and find another reclamation project. If he can nab Madden 68th, DiPietro 64th, and Gaudette149th I completely trust his scouting ability more than a once regarded prospect that hasn't made the jump... like Goldy, like Pouliot, like Granlund... etc.
