This is pretty poor management.
1) Hawks are stacked on the right hand defensive side. Boqvist, Jokiharju, Mitchell, Murphy and Seabs.....ZERO need for Hamilton.

2) That Edmonton trade is God awful for the Hawks. Hawks take on two cap dumps to get a 1st at the cost of Forsling and Saad? Edmonton should offer a 1st just to move those two contracts with zero in return.

3) Kruger won't get a 3rd and Kunitz won't get a 5th...both are a draft round too much.

4) Why in the world would the Hawks pay anything to rent Dzingel as a non playoff team? Dzingel is he's a UFA not a RFA this summer, there is a big difference between those two.

5) Hawks won't move both Dahlstrom and Forsling unless they are confident that Koekk is better (nobody is at this point), and Chad Krys is pretty much a lock to get a good shot next year at camp.

1. Hawks need d help bad Hamilton is a good one. Boqvist and Mitchell are 2 years away anyways.

2. Forsling is garbage Rieder is gone after this year. So Sadd for Luici and a 1st not bad.

3. Ok Kurger and Kunitz for a 4th and 6th.

4. Dzingle is from the Chicago area and you will have a couple of months to negotiate with him....maybe 4 million for 20 to 30 goal scorer he could play on all 3 lines nothing wrong with that

5. Dhalstrom at best is 7th maybe 6th dman at his best.

Lucic is like Seabrook, he can't skate fast enough to keep up with plenty of term left. He's a checking 4th line winger these days. Saad for Lucic plus a first is not something the Blackhawks should do at this point, particularly if the objective is to use it for a few months of negotiating rights for a UFA. Dzingel is either going to sign with the Senators or become a FA at this point. Blackhawks would be better off jest waiting until the offseason to sign him rather than waste Saad in order to negotiate with him early.

In trade with Carolina, I'd target De Haan or Slavin, LHD.
