Description

Just wanted your take on this move. Think Neal could be a good leader moving forward and get back to putting up points at a moderate pace. Two prospects added due to neither being super strong although Gawain could turn a not something decent in the middle 6. Calgary’s 1st, although late could be Brett Leason. This of course is if stone refuses to sign an extension.

With the way Neal is playing and his contract, he has negative value right now. No chance OTT makes this

I would call it slightly above neutral value. He is added for cap reasons which shouldn’t affect Ottawa. If he does get His production on track again Ottawa could make out very well on this deal.

Maybe this year they can take on the cap but hes not on a one year deal dude. Almost 6 mill in cap is gonna hurt bad in a couple years especially if Neal continues to play like this. Theyll need cap to pay Chabot etc

If I'm Ottawa and Im taking Neal I want this package plus at least one of Kylington or Andersson.

If Stone is not signing and going to walk as a UFA, you'll need to temper your expectations. Calgary keeps Neal, offers 2nd plus Foo/Gawdin. 2nd becomes a 1st if Stone re-signs in Calgary.

Keep Gawdin and put one of Kylington or Andersson in there with Foo and the 1st.
