It would be hard for Montreal to say no to that deal, although Larsson really isn't needed as there isn't much room for him. He's too good for the 3rd pairing and both Petry and Weber are better than him.

I think both teams would say yes, but from my perspective as an oilers fan this is a good deal because larsson, rieder, and rattie are struggling a little bit and a change of landscape would be good for them. The oilers need secondary scoring and this fills that need. Larsson is expendable because of the amount of unneeded d depth chiarelli got

I think most Habs fans feel they need a LD not a RD, would Oilers fans make that same trade but with Nurse rather than Larsson?

Well that'd be more of a straight up 1 for 1 trade or the Oilers might have to add so then are the Oilers getting anywhere? You've hurt the D by 1 but improved the forward group by 1, seems like a lateral move. Personally I think they'd be better off with Tatar and Byron then just Gallagher, Oilers really need a couple 2 for 1 trades to improve that roster.

So what you would do is impossible things

Why is Boston trading for a goalie who is worse than both of there's who are both playing well?

On what planet does that Philly trade make sense? Take sellers out and I don't think that gets you Simmonds alone. Add sekera in and it's negative value. That's without even considering Ghost...

Why is Ottawa taking on potentially the worst contract in hockey?

What is appealing to la in that trade?
