Montreal isn't going to pay premiums when it comes to rentals. Try a different team, Montreal doesn't need wingers anyways.

Why would Detroit bail out Edmonton on that goalie contract

Probably too much for Vanek and Nyquist, certainly don't see Montreal being interested at that price, and Edmonton and Los Angeles trades don't make sense for anyone

The 2nd round pick, Det prob wont compete for a few years so there could be a fit there. So you get a 2nd and a usable goalie in a rebuild

Yeah value could be too high on Nyquist and Vanek. I think the Edmonton trade makes sense for EDM an depending what the market is for Howard it could be an attractive offer, if someone was offering a 1st I think he'd already be traded. The LA trade makes sense for Det, get a young forward for an aging backup. For LA it might be too expensive but I could see them reuniting with Bernier to support Peterson as he takes over? What do you think?

A lot of rumors that they're interested in Nyquist. If they trade a wing for a center I could see them doing it. The value might be too high in your opinion but I don't think Montreal is uninterested. Regardless the question of this post is more, do you think Nyquist could fetch a 1st, not where he lands

MSN Sports? Is that even a thing? Just because someone wrote it does not make it true. After reading this, it says nothing about Bergevin acquiring Nyquist, it goes back and fourth about they are too expensive and analysts predicting Bergevin will make several small trades before the TD. Not sure what you took from this, but I got nothing.

For sure Nyquist could get a 1st from a team that needs a middle 6 winger. I see Boston as a good fit TBH. Montreal, not so much.
