Description
The cap is what Bettman said it would be.
Most people would probably wonder why Kapenen's deal is so cheap. It's because I signed him to a bridge deal so that when Marleau is off the books next season it'll be easy to sign him.

Instead of signing Gards why not just keep Johnsson and bring Dermott up to the top 4. He is clearly ready for it, and Johnsson is our best LW at the moment. Even if you want to bring Kappy over (I do too), having Johnsson-Kappy-Hyman as our 1-2-3 is much better than Kappy-Hyman-Marleau

I wanted to keep Jonsson but Zaitsev's contract needed to be moved and no teams just gonna take that without about asset. Moving Kappy over fills out the top line. Hymans already shown he's capable of playing with skilled players and is probably Babcock's favourite player and Marleau isn't coming off under Babcock. That leaves Jonsson on the fourth line, underused. It would be smarter to give the time to Moore who has a higher ceiling and is obviously ready for the nhl. Plus, having Jonsson in the trade made it possible for me to get Yamamoto. So yah I'd like to keep Jonsson but he has good trade value, it saves cap and he would be underused on the Leafs. Appreciate it tho. What you said makes sense.

The Oilers have cap issues to so I don't understand a 5 million exchange in salaries adding onto Edmonton is good.

Pretty quick to judge on Moore ... Johnson has 24 points in his first 49 nhl games... not bad.

Zaitsev can be moved for a pick, shouldn’t Need to pay to move him.. and brown seems like the obvious fit there not Johnsson or zaitsev.

Yah. I can't see Edmonton's salary so I didn't know. I just made the trade of Edmonton's need for defense.

Yah. I just wanted to keep Gardiner and bring someone back that's at least Jhonsson's level so I added him into the Zaitsev trade to get the extra value.

I thought Moore would be ready because of his stint this year. He did pretty good and he's one of the AHL's best players.

Moore will more than likely be a regular in next years lineup. Yamamoto will not.
