One of the better and more realistic deals I've seen. I'd keep negotiating comrie and that 2nd for a better prospect if I was the Sens GM. Goalie depth is not the Sens issue with Gustavsson, Hogberg and Daccord in the pipelines.

Top 20 prospects are not traded for rentals. Vesalainen is not going anywhere

i wasn't entirely sure on Ottawa's goalie depth which is why I included him in the deal. If you say did Vesalainen, Stanley and a first I think that wouldnt be a terrible trade.

They are traded if you want to land the big fish. Duchene will go to whoever offers the best deal.

Karlsson didn't get a top 20 prospect and that is exacly what vesalainen is. Why would Duchene get one if Karlsson didn't, especially with this year being a buyers market

Karlsson got 4 players and a first plus a second. Duchene will have many teams after him. whoever is willing to give up the most will get him. WPG is in a position where they can afford that.

He still didn’t get a top 20 prospect. No one does as a rental
